HomeworkDear Room 30 parents, Each week, your child will complete different learning pursuits by choosing one activity from our Homework Bingo each day and then completing the Home Learning Log. This is an alternative way to the typical pencil and paper homework, and is an opportunity for families to provide learning experiences to their children. Below is a list of alternative homework ideas, which correlates with your child’s homework bingo board. Each day, your child is expected to choose one box category from their Homework Bingo, and then complete an activity from the correlating alternative homework list. Your child is expected to write 2-3 sentences about each learning pursuit each day. Your child is also expected to read at least 20-30 minutes every day to help with reading comprehension, fluency, and literacy. Your child may read to self, with someone, or to someone else. Your child may choose to read a fiction, or non fiction book, but they are not limited to just book. They may read magazine, newspapers, recipes, ect. Please encourage your help to read and engage with them by asking questions about the story. |
